  1. Shari – I just live "down the road" from you and would love to meet you and your beautiful family. Thank you so much for sharing your story. This journey of adoption has been nothing short of amazing. I am passionate about helping other families get involved. I loved reading about how God changed your hearts and added to your family.

  2. I know you mean well, but you are greatly mistaken that God choses to have children born into families who cannot care for them and then chooses a baby torn from his family, his community, his culture, his heritage.

In fact, children are being stolen and kidnapped in Guatemala, India, Nepal, China etc. to meet a demand. Anyone adopting today runs the risk of unintentionally being the recipient of a kidnapped child. It has happened to Julia Rollings and David Smolin. Google their names and read their stories. These are good, caring people like yourself who had families and adopted out of a desire to do good!

Also read about Ana Escobar and other women in guatemala who had their children stolen because Americans are paying tens of thousands of dollars for their hcidlren!

You meant well, but unfortunately you did not hear the word of God, but the devil speaking through those who make huge profit trafficking children for adoption and have gotten to many preachers and evangelicals with their lies.

To truly help children, you need to help then AND their families as does Christian Children's Fund, SOS for Children, Save the Children and UNICEF!

Taking children one a time from impoverished nations does nothing to ameliorate the poverty of their family or their nation. It exploits their poverty.

Please read Job 24:9 and read the story of Moses. God intended adoption AS A LAST RESORT and even then, not as as it is currently practiced where a child is so removed from his heritage he cannot return as did MOSES!

I know you mean well, but educate further before you continue to encourage these family destructions and exploitive practices.

I hope you have the courage to post this and to do your homework and learn from your good intentions to do still better.

  3. Mirah, thank you for your post. Although I pretty much disagree with most all of it does not mean that we do not deserve the right to our own opinions. Just like I truly believe that all children deserve to be loved, fed, clothed, have medical care and an education and family. I have been too busy lately to write back more. Just wanted to say, I welcome your opinion and I will write a comment or two in a few days when I can get more time. In the meantime, God Bless You and I hope this message finds you well.

  4. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of
this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual appearance.
I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this.
Also, the blog loads super fast for me on Safari. Outstanding
    Blog!
