Wednesday WOW: A New Recipe, #Yes Printable, and Cutest Video Ever
This month started spring soccer season for Zoie and her daddy (the coach) and finding life got really crazy juggling sports and making meals. Last night I asked my family what their very favorite recipe was that I cooked for dinner and they all agreed, except Zoie (her favorite food in life is french fries) was Chicken Tenders. Actually, there were a few more yummy picks for later posts, but this one really is a family favorite. It’s simple to throw together during a busy week of kid craziness.
Baked Chicken Tenders
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken tenders 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups breadcrumbs, seasoned or unseasoned Salt and black pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 375F. Season the chicken tenders with salt and black pepper. In a shallow dish, season the flour with salt and black pepper then beat the eggs in another shallow dish with the milk. In a third shallow dish, place the breadcrumbs.
Dredge the chicken tenders in the flour to coat, shaking off any excess flour. Dip the floured chicken tenders into the egg and finally, coat the chicken tenders with the breadcrumbs.
Place the breaded chicken tenders onto a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 12-15 until golden brown.
Yes In My Mess
Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that I’m a mom of a little, teen, and twenty-something adult! It’s a crazy combination of 20 years of mommyhood and adventures with my children! I have never regretted the day I said yes to God in my early forties and did it afraid, truly was the moment when I really started living!
I’m so excited to help promote my favorite blogger Kristen Welch’s new book launch (the party starts here May 1st) and wanted to share this amazing printable with you. Feel free to pin it or share it on your blog. Take a look at the Rhinestone Jesus official book page and learn more about the author and her passion to say yes in her mess! Always remember …
My son, Michael @michaelgibby1 shared this video with us at spring break and it’s truly the cutest video ever! What I love most about this little film by Pixar is the simple messages the characters share, “never give up” “always keep boundin” and “we are ALL special.” Your children will love this sweet tale and I bet it will be a family favorite!
